A series of expressive landscape paintings executed in a limited palette on smooth and textured clay boards. The series explores and contrasts forms found in the earth & sky. Textured clay boards add rich dimension to water color and water soluble wax-pastel. Their uneven surface creates minute shadows and a subltle interplay of light.  The smooth clay boards of this series, meanwhile, beguile with the luminosity of bright whites and strong graphic elements of the picture structure.
